Statement of Beliefs

Sacred Healing is a church and spiritual community in the California Mojave Desert. This Statement is the shared foundation of our religious life. Everyone who joins our community affirms it in our Membership Covenant. Version dated October 29, 2026.

Preamble

Sacred Healing is a spiritual community rooted in a simple truth: we are one.

We are one with the Divine, one with Mother Earth, and one with each other. What we recognize in another is also present within us. When one person heals, that healing touches the whole. When one person serves with love, that service reaches beyond the individual.

Love is the answer. This does not mean avoiding pain, denying darkness, or pretending that difficult experiences do not exist. We believe wholeness comes from meeting both shadow and light with honesty, responsibility, compassion, and courage.

1. The Divine and Sacred Creation

We believe in one Divine Source, the Creator and living origin of all existence, consciousness, and love, throughout the cosmos, in every dimension and every universe, seen and unseen.

We believe the Divine is present within creation. Mother Earth is sacred, not separate from Spirit. Nature teaches relationship, balance, reciprocity, death, renewal, and our responsibility to care for life.

No person is separate from this sacred whole. Every human being carries inherent dignity, spiritual agency, and the capacity to deepen their relationship with the Divine.

2. We Are One

Our central teaching is unity.

We believe separation is one of the deepest sources of human suffering. The path back is remembrance: remembering our relationship with the Divine, with the Earth, with our ancestors, with our community, and with ourselves.

“If you heal, I heal” expresses this responsibility. It does not mean one person performs another person's healing. It means our inner work changes how we meet everyone around us.

Each person is a mirror. What we admire, resist, fear, or judge in another can invite us into deeper truth about ourselves. We receive that invitation with humility rather than blame.

3. Healing, Responsibility, and Integration

We believe healing belongs to the individual. A minister, facilitator, community, or sacrament may guide, support, teach, protect, and hold space, but no person can do another person's inner work.

Sacred Healing does not promise a quick fix. Ceremony is a doorway, not the whole path. Preparation makes the work intentional. Ceremony creates an opportunity for communion, insight, and transformation. Integration is where those insights are tested and embodied through choices, relationships, service, and daily life.

We do not reject the shadow. We meet it with love and light so that greater balance can emerge. Lasting change requires honesty, personal responsibility, and the willingness to live differently.

4. Sacred Sacraments and Ceremony

We recognize Ayahuasca, Huachuma or San Pedro, psilocybin mushrooms, Bufo or 5-MeO-DMT, Kambo, cacao, and tobacco within Sacred Healing's sincerely held ceremonial and religious practice.

We approach these sacraments and traditions with reverence for the ancestral lineages and living cultures from which their teachings come.

Our lineage. Sacred Healing's ceremonial practice honors the Amazonian curanderismo traditions of the Peruvian Amazon, including the teachings of the Shipibo people, and the Andean tradition of the Q'ero. Our founder's formation in these traditions includes years of ceremony with traditional healers, time spent with the Shipibo, a tobacco dieta in the jungle, and initiation in the Q'ero tradition. We honor the elders and teachers of these traditions as the source of what we carry, and we commit to reciprocity with their communities.

The sacraments are not entertainment, commodities, or shortcuts. Their place within Sacred Healing is ceremonial, prayerful, disciplined, and connected to spiritual purpose.

Sacramental ceremony may open a person to communion with the Divine, a felt experience of unity, spiritual insight, remembrance, purification, or a clearer understanding of their life and responsibilities. No particular experience or outcome is guaranteed.

Participation must be voluntary. It also requires preparation, appropriate screening, informed consent, respect for safety practices, and a commitment to integration.

5. Prayer, Practice, and Religious Life

Sacred Healing's religious life includes:

  • Prayer and intentional ceremonial gatherings

  • Preparation before sacramental ceremony

  • Integration after ceremony

  • Spiritual teaching and pastoral guidance

  • Music, silence, reflection, and communion with Nature

  • Community fellowship, service, and mutual support

  • Respectful preservation and teaching of Earth-based and ancestral wisdom

We measure spiritual practice not only by what is experienced in ceremony, but by how we live afterward.

6. Membership and Belonging

Spiritual community membership and ceremony participation form one connected pathway.

A person becomes part of the Sacred Healing spiritual community by voluntarily affirming these beliefs, accepting the responsibilities of community conduct, and approaching the work with sincerity. Ceremony participation remains subject to separate screening, informed consent, safety approval, and ceremony-specific agreements.

Spiritual membership does not purchase access to the Divine. A donation, contribution, or ceremony payment does not determine a person's spiritual worth or sincerity. Spiritual community membership also does not, by itself, confer corporate voting, board, or officer rights.

We welcome people of every race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, and prior religious background who approach this path sincerely and respectfully. No one is required to abandon another faith tradition to recognize the sacred truth of unity.

7. Ethical Commitments

Members, leaders, and participants are called to practice:

  • Love and compassion

  • Truthfulness and integrity

  • Non-harm and respect for consent

  • Humility and personal responsibility

  • Confidentiality and respect for another person's story

  • Reverence for the sacraments, ceremonial space, and ancestral traditions

  • Reciprocity with the Earth and service to the greater good

  • Accountability for conduct before, during, and after ceremony

Spiritual language must never be used to excuse coercion, exploitation, abuse, dishonesty, or avoidance of responsibility.

8. Divine Law and Ecclesiastical Authority

We believe that the highest law is Divine law: the universal law of unity, love, and right relationship that flows from the Divine Source. It is woven through the entire cosmos, through every dimension and realm of existence, and through all worlds, seen and unseen, known and unknown. No place, plane, or universe lies outside it. We answer first to that law. It is the measure of our conscience, our conduct, and our ceremony.

Within the life of this church, matters of doctrine, sacrament, ceremony, membership, spiritual discipline, and the calling and ordination of ministers belong to the church's ecclesiastical authority. They are decided according to our faith and our governing documents.

We also honor our responsibilities as members of the wider human community and of the lands where we gather. We seek recognition and accommodation of our religious practice through lawful means, and we do not use faith as a cover for harm.

9. Leadership and Governance

Sacred Healing's spiritual leaders serve the community. Leadership is a responsibility, not spiritual superiority.

Leaders are called to demonstrate integrity, maturity, training, humility, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety and service. They must remain accountable to the church's governing documents, ethical standards, and applicable law.

The corporation is governed by its duly appointed directors and officers under its Articles of Incorporation and bylaws. Spiritual community membership and ceremony participation do not automatically grant governance authority.

10. Our Purpose

Sacred Healing exists to provide a reverent spiritual home for people called to deepen their relationship with the Divine through prayer, sacred ceremony, ancestral wisdom, preparation, integration, community, and service.

We do not claim to heal another person. We help create a grounded, intentional, and loving container in which each person can meet their own truth and take responsibility for what comes next.

Everything we do must serve the greater good. Our intentions must be clean. Our work must be productive, positive, and of real service.

We are one. Love is the answer. The work is ours to live.
